The recent years have seen a remarkable activity in the global electric motors applications and Electrical Vehicles (EV) industry in particular. Stringent electricity consumption regulations, rising need to reduce greenhouse gas effects and strong competition from low-cost countries force motors manufacturers to reduce production costs, increase flexibility of production and supply products with higher performances.
iTorque aims at developing an enabling process and machines to produce innovative segmented motors. This will result in reducing the electric motors cost and impact on the environment, by decreasing the waste material by 40%, the assembly costs by 20% and increasing motor performances by 15%.

This project is financed by UEFISCDI, EUROSTARS.
