The purpose of the project is to increase the technology readiness level from TRL4 to TRL6 for an innovative load balancing solution in three-phase (four-conductor), low-voltage distribution networks by using an automatically unbalanced capacitive compensator. It allows the simultaneous performance of the two functions: improving the power factor and balancing the load in that section of the network in which it is installed.
Currently the solution is materialized in the form of an experimental demonstration model, successfully completed through a previous partnership between UPT and ICPE
(https://www.sites.google.com/site/caeredjt/).
Starting from the establishment of an innovative product with a significant market potential, ICPE is this time the project coordinator and aims to develop it together with the same partner, UPT (P1) to the prototype level.

About
Objectives:
- The transfer of intellectual property rights from UPT (P1) to ICPE (CO)
- Technical and economic analysis followed by the design, construction and commissioning of a range of prototypes (full-scale compensators) with nominal reactive powers of 50, 150, 250 kvar
- Testing the range of prototypes in operating conditions similar to the real ones
- Optimization of algorithms to improve functional characteristics
- Validation of the prototype range
