ICPE or RESEARCH INSTITUTE on ELECTROTECHNICS, as it was called 60 years ago, was foundated by Government Decision - HG 868 on the 5th of August, 1950, under the signature of the “famous” Petru Groza and Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej. But, ICPE was created in order to help a real economic necessity - the country’s electrification - and became very popular thanks to it’s work in service of the country.
Nowadays, ICPE represents a complex structure which covers varied ranges of innovating thematics, connected by ELECTRIC profile:
