10kW Photovoltaic system

NESL sitem PV 10kW

The 10kWp PV system is installed on a building of the „Transilvania” University from Brasov, Romania and was planned as a three-phased electrical generator system beeing powered from a PV array made of 48 polycrystalline modules split in three, 16 for each phase.

The power conversion uses three transformerless inverters with 3.3kW each, produced by SMA, Germany with 97% efficiency, less than 4% THD and a unitary PF intended for grid connection. All energy produced is transferred to the grid and subtracted from the energy consumed from the utility grid. The system is monitored with a dedicated data-logger produced by the same company.

The data-logger is connected to a PC, a LED display screen for performance presentation and to a meteorological station.
The monitoring of system parameters is made in conformity with European Standards and parameters like solar radiation, temperatures, efficiency, power, energy, voltage are measured and stored.
The estimated CO2 reduction is ~7250kg/year and the estimated energy is ~12MWh/year.
Total surface of PV modules is ~80sqm.
