Wind generator for urban zones

The turbine of this wind generator has vertical axis. The electric generator is a direct drive high efficiecy, brushless, permanent magnet generator.

Horizontal axis wind turbines are typically more efficient at converting wind energy into electricity than vertical axis wind turbines. However, small vertical axis wind turbines are more suited to urban areas because they are:

low noise;

aesthetically pleasing;
simple installation;
durable construction;
low maintenance;
safe to people and bird;
generator can be on the ground for more easy access, rather than up in the air;
lower susceptibility to cross-winds;
no massive tower structure is needed;
as the rotor blades are vertical, no yaw mechanism is neeeded;
have lower wind startup;
do not need to turn to face the wind if the wind direction changes
